Mother’s day boho embellished vase

As a Micheals Maker this month, I wanted to share with you a quick and easy Mother’s Day project, a boho embellished vase!

Now that April is here, it’s going to fly by, and Mother’s Day this year is Sunday,May 14th. This will give you lots of time to make this pretty vase to put a bouquet of flowers in. My Dad’s been gone 19 years this year, so I am very lucky I still have my Mom around. I know not everyone does.

I just picked up a square-shaped glass vase, leather cording from the craft section, and a stone necklace pendant from the jewelry section.

So this project is so simple. It’s as easy as wrapping the leather cord around the vase a few times carefully (not too tightly, you don’t want to break the glass.), and tying the necklace pendant on it.

After that, you can add your flowers, and you have two gifts in one!

I had some fun styling my boho embellished vase with a fun quote from Stevie Wonder on a letter-board.

You can always count on Stevie for some words of wisdom! I love a good quote!

I jsut used some grocery store lilies, some eucalyptus, and  a white flower I can’t remember the name of, which I know my florist mother is going to read and make sure she tells me.

I love that this was so easy. There were lots of larger pendants too in the jewelry section, so it would be easy to use a different color, and personalize it for your Mom, or a mother-figure in your life. Or, yourself!!!
