It took us nearly 24 hours to get home this week (if you traveled on Wednesday I feel your pain) and we are SO happy to be home!
I'm late with this post today for many reasons -- spring break laziness, a three boy 10-year-old sleepover last night and the fact that Blogger has been wonky all day. I'm pretty sure this is the first time in nine years that I've had problems with my site being on and off, so I can't complain.
Today I'm sharing one of my favorite local bloggers and someone I call a friend -- Sara who blogs at Sincerely Sara D. She lives not far from me and a group of us local bloggers get together every few months. She has such a lovely home but she's an even lovelier person. ;)
I have been wanting to share her home with you for some time and today is the day! Her front entry always gets me:
Isn't that lovely? I love the painted brick and stone arch.
Sara has been so busy lately -- I'm in awe of what she's accomplished in her home. She had help with this bathroom makeover and it turned out so beautifully:
I dream of making our tiny shower bigger someday and this one is dreamy. And that tub! 😍
Sara recently added a wall of bookshelves in her office and I love the addition of the rolling ladder:
This has me thinking we need to add a ladder to our library bookshelves as well!
Her laundry room makeover is one of my favorites just because the changes were SO simple but made a big impact:
That pretty wall makes the biggest impact and you have to go over to see how she did it! ;)
The ceilings in her master bedroom steal the show -- and those tall windows! I love it all:
So serene and beautiful!
I love the wall of gray trim work in her dining room:
I love how she mixes the dining room chairs -- and those chalkboards are such a pretty touch!
I think my favorite makeover in Sara's home is her recent family room transformation:
Those dark blue gray walls with trim set off the fireplace beautifully. I'm such a sucker for symmetry, this view makes me happy. ;)
I hope you'll visit Sara's blog and check out more of her home and DIY projects! She does such a beautiful job with all of her makeovers and decorating, I know you'll love it!
Have a wonderful weekend my friends! I'll be busy finishing up some projects here that I'll share next week -- being away from home always gives me renewed energy, excitement and appreciation for our house!
